I think the people who are really suffering from anorexia DO realize and know that they are hurting themselves, as many of them have said themselves, but are still unable to stop, which makes it such a horrible condition.
What scares me as much are the many girls (and guys evidently) who start fasting and pruging and all that stuff, as they call it to be like some imaginary idol and then end up anorexic and bulimic.
