Happy New Year all :-)
I hope you had great holidays and can enjoy the weekend like I do before heading back to work on Monday.

I snowed over night and ow everything is white and I can't wait to head out a bit. I'll go by the comic book store (two of them actually) and by the english book shop and my favorite tea shop. As you can see, I'm really treating this day as a holiday.
Later on I'll cook a nice hot soup and then I'll spend the rest of the day/evening with comics, anime, books and tea. Yay, i can't wait.

I had really nice holidays. I was home in Greece for 10 days. My brother and his girl-friend were there too. The poor girl wasn't really used to the greek-style family feasts, bute she did good ;-). My brother and me had to reassure her a couple of times, that my family wasn't fighting, but just talking (she doesn't speak greek and looked worried a couple of times).

That was Christmas...and I'm 30 years old now :D. Luckily I don't care at all. Who cares after all. It's just a number.
I got many nice presents too. A pair of pyjamas, this salt and pepper set (which I wanted from my brother, but he thought it was too girly, so i got it from his girlfriend instead, looks better in real life) a navigation system (from my brother this time...yay, no more getting lost with my car) and a really nice bracelet and a ring.

New Years was really nice too. Two friends of mine from university times came by and we went to my neighbour's. She had organized an international dinner where each guest prepares a different dish and then serves it, saying a few words about the recepy. We had everything from Vietnamese wan tan soup, to paella, cow's stomach from Laos and sensational mouse o chocolat and tiramisu (don't mind my spelling).
After that we went to the river to watch the people shot off their fire works (and shoot off some of our own) and then we continued to a party in a club, where we danced till 6 :D.

On the 1st, we cut the traditional greek New Year's Cake at my house. The cake has a little coin inside and whoever gets the coin is said to have a blessed new year. The coin was exactly in the middle of the two pieces I had cut for my neighbours, the couple that had organized the dinner. It was cute how happy they were that it fell between them :D.

I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year again! *chu to all*

Happy new year to you too, dear :D!!
I thought about meeting up, but you know how it is. When I'm home for just a few days, I have to visit aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
I didn't want to run out on my mom too often either, since she was stressed like always :P ("There is so much still to prepare, we'll never make it in time")..lol, but next time I'm in Athens (probably Easter), we'll definitely meet up :D
